There must be nothing near the outside of the pool fence that could help a child climb over it. Specifically within 1200mm of the top of the barrier, there cant be things like furniture, rocks, retaining walls, or plants that could give kids a boost. Permanent objects that can’t be removed may be acceptable if the fence is made higher so that the top of the fence is still 1200mm away from the object – meaning the climb is still too high for a child to manage
