Hinged Doors that open towards the pool:

• Should self close.
• Should self latch.
• The latch release should be at least 1500mm off the ground.
• Signage adjacent to the inside door handle that states in 5mm height text with black letters
  • SWIMMING POOL. CLOSE THE DOOR. 

• A door alarm should be fitted that:
  • Produces an alarm tone of 75dB from 3000mm away.
  • Starts 7 seconds after the door is opened.
  • Resets once door is latched.
  • Has a low battery charge warning.
  • A deactivation switch can be used, that is installed at 1500mm above the ground. It should not silence the alarm for more than 15 seconds.
