Pool Gates should be:

• Hinged
• 1200mm high
• Open away from the pool
• No obstructions preventing it from closing
• Self closing from any position
• Not be able to be opened by lifting of pushed down
• Ground clearance of less than 100mm

Latches Should:

• Automatically latch when closed
• Need to be manually released to open
• Not be able to be released by inserting anything through gaps
• If on the outside of the pool area, it should be 1500mm off the ground
• If on the inside of the pool area it should be 150mm down from the top of the pool gate
